Description

The Grillo Climber 10 AWD 22 is an outstanding brush cutter on slopes. The 4 permanent drive wheels together with the powerful engine, with 22 HP power on the bench, 18 HP net, make it brilliant even on steep slopes and on ground with reduced grip.

The cutting performance in even very tall grass and shrubs with a diameter of up to 25 mm make the Climber 10 an ideal machine in agriculture and for professional use.

The compact dimensions, designed for best performance on slopes, and the Kanzaki hydro-static transmission with rear axle differential lock make it a safe mower for the user, reliable in every situation and exceptionally stable.

Features

The cutting height is adjusted via a lever that is smooth and fluid in every movement. The deck locks automatically when the lever is released. The blades are engaged by means of an electric button located near the steering wheel. The electromagnetic clutch has a built-in blade brake. The single-blade cutter deck has a working width of 93 cm. The cutting height varies from a minimum of 3.5 cm to a maximum of 13.5 cm, the adjustment is infinitely variable. This 10 cm range allows you to easily go over bumps and work on uneven ground. The entire cutting mechanism is kept parallel to the ground at all times, guaranteeing the best cutting quality even after years of use.

The cutting blades are made of special molded steel with a special low-noise, low-impact shape, and the ends are retracted in the event of impact. In addition, the knives are reversible, and can be reversed when worn. The structure of the entire cutting apparatus is not afraid of impacts with stones. The large-diameter blade shaft and the cutting transmission guarantee reliability even under the toughest working conditions for many hours in complete safety. The deck is equipped with protective side guards that can be raised for easy maintenance and cleaning. The twin-cylinder 4-stroke petrol engine has a net power of 18 HP. The muffler is made of noise-reducing stainless steel. The fuel tank has a capacity of 13 liters, the large filler neck makes filling easier, and the cap incorporates a level indicator.

The permanent 4-wheel drive transmission consists of 2 hydrostatic axles. The rear axle is equipped with a pedal-operated differential lock, which is indispensable for overcoming slopes in low-grip conditions. Large tractor tyres provide more traction and comfort on uneven terrain. The front axle is steered and tilted, and is equipped with a hydraulic system that combined with the differential on the rear axle maintains permanent traction on all 4 wheels even at maximum steering angle and without wheel slip.

One of the advantages of four-wheel drive is the ability to stop on a downhill slope using only the drive lever and to reverse, always without slipping and in maximum safety.  The hydro-static motors on the front axle are protected by a steel shield that is not afraid of shocks of any kind. The Climber 10 is equipped with large steel hydraulic tubes that connect the two drive axles. Combined with a cooling fan located on the rear axle, they help to keep the operating temperature of the hydro-static oil low, so that the transmission performs at its best even under heavy-duty conditions. The tractor’s sculptured wheels provide grip on uneven terrain with low grip. To avoid the problem of punctures, the front wheels are equipped with anti-puncture treatment as standard.

Transfers are fast with the Climber 10 because of its maximum speed of 9 km/h. On very uneven surfaces it is possible to lift the plate up to 13.5 cm off the ground. The roll-bar can be lowered in seconds to facilitate working under plants. Because of two practical levers, the roll-bar can be lowered or raised without the use of tools.

The Climber 10 is fitted as standard with a comfortable, sprung, longitudinally adjustable seat. To increase operator comfort in rougher terrain, the optional suspension kit with spring adjustment can be fitted.

The driving controls are ergonomic, and the advance lever allows precise speed selection. With the help of the brake pedal, the advance lever automatically returns to zero and the rear axle is braked.

All components, from the simplest to the most complex, are of high quality. Frame, cutting transmission, plate, everything is built by Grillo in Italy, using the best materials and the latest technology to achieve high, consistent and 100% controlled quality.  The painting of Grillo machines is double-layer electrostatic powder. First there are the washing and preparation baths, then a first protective layer is applied which, with baking in the oven, is the best base for the finishing application. The second layer of paint and a further baking at 190°C give the characteristic hardness and gloss. The Grillo Climber 10 AWD 22 is meticulously assembled and thoroughly tested by specialized personnel. The final testing of the Climber 10 AWD 22 includes a test with the engine running to check all functionality. A further and final guarantee for a high quality product.
