FAQ
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A RIDE-ON MOWER?
Here at Toowoomba Outdoor Power Products, we offer a wide range of mowers, so there’s bound to be one to suit your needs. When it comes to using ride-on mowers, people can often be a bit apprehensive, however, a ride-on mower is a great way to keep your lawn in great condition without all the stress of using a push mower, helping you to reduce the amount of time and energy you spend pushing the lawn mower yourself. Ride-on mowers are also faster and more efficient, and with wider blades that cut grass at a faster rate than push mowers do, they are also more durable and therefore less likely to break down.
HOW DO YOU EMPTY A PUSH MOWER?
Emptying your push mower is an easy task once you get the hang of it. First off, remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug and tip the mower on its side so that the air filter is facing up. Turn off the engine and remove the gas tank cap before using a siphon pump to suck all the gas out of your lawnmower. Once this is done, replace the cap securely as well as the spark plug and make sure everything is in place before its next use.
HOW OFTEN DOES MY CHAINSAW NEED SHARPENING?
If you have one of our lightweight, easy-to-use chainsaws, it’s useful to know how often you need to sharpen them to make sure you are seeing the best results possible. If you see any flat areas on your chainsaw bar or teeth, or begin to notice rust, then this could be a sign that it needs sharpening. Of course, if you’re not getting the high-quality results you once were from your chainsaw, this is another clear sign you may need to sharpen the blade.
WHAT ARE SOME COMMON SAFETY HAZARDS WHEN USING A CHAINSAW?
Although we take pride in our wide collection of quality chainsaws, they can be extremely dangerous to use if you don’t follow the right safety guidelines. Before using any of our power tools, ensure you are wearing eye protection and gloves. Also, always check your surroundings before firing up a chainsaw – make sure anyone standing around you moves out of the way, as metal chainsaws can ricochet or bounce off logs and other objects they are cutting, which could potentially cause a serious injury.
